Jodie Goodman has been named Director of Business Development at Haven, North Central Florida’s legacy mission-driven provider of hospice and palliative care. With a background in hospice, home health, social work and mental health, Goodman brings 20 years of healthcare experience to Haven.

As Director of Business Development, Goodman will implement plans to achieve admissions and growth objectives, communicate sales plans among different markets, and oversee Haven’s team of professional liaisons, among other responsibilities.

“We are thrilled for Jodie to join the Haven family,” said Haven Vice President of Business Development and Strategy Jen Malko. “Having a growth-driven, strategic leader like Jodie on our team will help solidify community partnerships and ensure the patients and families in North Florida have access to Haven’s high-quality hospice and palliative care.”

Goodman came to Haven from Amedisys, one of the national’s largest home health and hospice providers, where she most recently served as Area Vice President of Hospice Outreach. Her previous roles at Amedisys include Area Manager of Hospice Outreach and Account Executive.

Goodman’s background is in social work and mental health; she earned a master’s degree in social work from the University of Maryland at Baltimore. “My background in mental health helps the way I look at relationships and teams, which I’m hoping will be a positive impact I can make at Haven,” said Goodman. “I most look forward to being able to help spread the word about hospice, how important it is, and how beneficial it is to communities. Having personal experience with hospice, I know firsthand what an impact it can have at the end of life for both families and loved ones and I’m hoping to instill some of that in my team.”

Relocating from Pennsylvania, Goodman is eager to experience a Florida lifestyle with her family, including her husband, 4-year old son and 7-year old daughter.
